New you can use: Not everyone can have pineapple juice...

I dare you to find a Crockpot Spiral Ham recipe that doesn’t have pineapple juice. Go ahead… I’ll wait. See? It’s REALLY hard! Since pineapple makes me unable to breath, it’s a no go for using in a ham recipe. For Easter I wanted to free up my oven and use my crockpot… well… it was a hunt to find a recipe that would work. This one? Worked! Sure my ham didn’t fit – dang bone was too long, so I used some heavy duty foil on top instead of the lid. Everyone enjoyed the ham (and had pineapple on the side). I even tossed in the glaze packet that came with the ham – it had some warm spices in it that made the glaze even better. This is a recipe I’ll keep handy for the future. Easy, good, and I could breath after.

Crockpot Spiral Ham
5-8 pound spiral sliced boneless whole ham, see note
3/4 cup honey
6 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Line a 6-8 quart slow cooker with a crockpot liner.
Place the ham in the lined crockpot and set the heat to low.
Add the honey, butter, and brown sugar to a small sauce pan over low heat and cook, stirring often, until melted and combined.
Liberally brush the glaze over the ham.
Cover and cook for 5 hours, brushing with the glaze every 30 - 45 minutes. You may not use all of the glaze.
Ham should reach an internal temperature of 140 degrees before serving. Cook time will vary based on the size of your ham and your slow cooker, but should be close to the 5 hour mark.
