Cinnamon Rolls go for a swim - family gives raves reviews.

So these are the "magical" viral cinnamon rolls... the cinnamon rolls that everyone raves about but I'm still dubious about. "Use canned cinnamon rolls douse them in heavy whipping cream watch your family think you made them from scratch." First of all... they are still canned cinnamon rolls. To be honest I love canned cinnamon rolls, they are delicious. Are they homemade? Nope but they are great anyway. Homemade cinnamon rolls are a different thing entirely and are also great. This recipe, I was... unsure about. Let's be honest. And Ok ok, I turned the oven off when I meant to keep it on, there was that mistake too. Also we were rushing to get them done to not be late for church. But my family? Loved them. We took a few to church to Andy (he was volunteering early that morning) and he loved them. The kids finished them up as leftovers for dinner - that never happens with homemade cinnamon rolls. So... Ok.. I'm a snob I guess. I like getting my hands in the yeasty dough and rolling up pretty things... They are find with sopping wet cinnamon rolls... to each their own. To be honest they were good, I just didn't understand the hype. Maybe we'll give it another go and I'll see what I’m missing

Cinnamon Rolls with Heavy Cream

2 cans cinnamon rolls
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the cream cheese icing
4 Ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup butter softened

Preheat oven per cinnamon roll package instructions. (400 Fahrenheit)
In a bowl, add the brown sugar and cinnamon and about 1/4 cup melted butter.
Place the cinnamon rolls in the baking dish and pour the heavy cream. Then add the butter and sugar mixture on top of the rolls and spread evenly
Bake the rolls per package instructions. We needed 30+ minutes.
Make the icing
While the rolls bake, make the icing by combining the cream cheese, confectioners sugar and brown butter in a bowl and using a hand mixer, beat it until creamy
Add the icing to the cinnamon rolls after they are out of the oven and cool down for a couple of minutes
Serve the rolls and enjoy
