Sorry Dot. I found another way.

One summer afternoon on a boat ride in Wisconsin, we tried Dot’s Pretzels and haven’t been able to turn back. Our family LOVES them. Dot… you make a FINE pretzel! I had one issue… ooh man they are expensive and not at the store I normally shop at. When I get them I feel like I have to ration them out to make sure we all get some. I ran across a copycat recipe online and had my doubts. Some of the reviews won be over – people saying they couldn’t stop eating them and how they sure did taste like Dots. I’m here to say – these are wonderful. It’s not a difficult recipe at all, melt butter and add the seasoning, toss in a bag, bake and eat. I’d be interested in even tossing the pretzels in the butter, then the seasoning, I’m curious how that would work, more seasoning on the pretzels I’d hope. Something to try when the container of pretzels is empty which will be very soon at the rate we are all enjoying them. Sorry Dot… I found another way…

Homemade Dots Pretzels

1 bag pretzels (twists work best!)
1/2 c butter
1 packet dry ranch mix
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp dill weed
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp lemon pepper

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Melt butter and whisk in all seasonings.
Pour butter mixture into gallon size ziplock bag, and add pretzels.
Shake until pretzels are covered with butter mixture.
Spread evenly on baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway.
