Cool Whip isn’t Diet Food

Have looked at this recipe on Pinterest for a while and wondered if it was a good one.  I can now say – yep it’s a good one.  But keep in mind – Cool Whip isn’t a diet food – it’s really rich.
Andy helped make this – it was really tough, dipping Oreos in Milk, lining them up, drowning them in cool whip – rinse repeat x3 layers.
This does need to be in the fridge overnight – you do want your Oreos to be a tad on the soggy side.  It sounds gross – but that’s how ice box cakes work.
Next time I might only do two layers… seems like that might be the perfect amount – and fit in my pan better.   Enjoy on a nice hot summer night – or any other day of the year. :)

Oreo Icebox Cake
What you need!

90 Oreo Cookies
3 (12 oz) tubs Cool Whip, thawed
1 1/2 - 2 cups milk
*chocolate sauce if desired

Make it!
Dip 30 Oreo Cookies in milk one by one and lay flat in a 9x13 pan.
Spread one tub over the Oreos. Repeat this process 2 more times, finishing with a layer of Cool Whip on top.
If desired drizzle chocolate sauce on top, or extra crushed Oreos.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.
