This boy child turned 6 on February 5. Oh man... how did he get so old? While he doesn't like cake, there wasn't really a dessert he was interested in - so when I showed him a cheeseburger cake, he was all about it, especially since we were having cheeseburgers for his birthday party dinner. Yes, I had Andy grilling burgers outside in single digit snowing weather, um... yeah, I'm that person. Sorry Andy. I spent some time planning this cake, making marshmallow fondant lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. I found some great ways to construct the cake too. The burger was made from brownie and we even had chocolate buttercream since my kids weren't planning to eat it, then let's go chocolate! We also make sugar cookie French fries. Why not?
Nicholas loved his cake, at least how it looked. I enjoyed how it tasted, I let our guests know to avoid the fondant, but it was a yummy sweet treat celebrating one very sweet boy.
