So I’m having a “chicken or egg” moment. Do I post the recipe for Awesome Sauce or Lasagna Toss? Oh which to post first? You see… the Lasagna Toss is made with the Awesome Sauce… so if you want to make the Lasagna Toss, you’ll need the Awesome Sauce recipe. If I post the Awesome Sauce recipe first – you won’t know what to do with it for a whole week.
Lasagna Toss it is! (It’s like a book with a suspenseful ending… keep you wanting more.)
You don’t often find a recipe that has an ingredient that you are pretty sure is a typo but add anyway. Hrm Sour Cream. To my pasta dish? Really? That seems like such a bad idea! But truly? Best idea ever! Maybe not ever… but still… it ranks high up there.
Lasagna Toss is one of those quick go to meals that I can make that will give us lots of leftovers that only get better with time. You make it with Awesome Sauce – yes… the recipe for Awesome Sauce – next week. Oh… sad… you’ll have to wait a week. I promise – it’s worth the wait.
Fry up some ground beef with some onions, maybe even some green peppers. Heat up your previously made sauce, add the pasta, add the cheese and the mystery ingredient! Sour Cream. It’s creamy pasta goodness!
Oh, if you don’t want to use Awesome Sauce? Just use a bottle of your favorite marinara or spaghetti sauce, it’ll do the trick.
Lasagna Toss
What you need!
1 pound Ground Chuck
5 cups Bow Tie Noodles
3 cups Awesome Sauce (or Spaghetti Sauce)
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
½ cups Mozzarella Cheese
½ cups Sour Cream
Make it!
Fry ground chuck in small pan. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions.
After noodles are cooked, drain and drizzle with olive oil. Mix in your Awesome Sauce (or boring old spaghetti sauce).
Add your fried hamburger, seasonings, cheese, and sour cream. Fold together and allow it all to combine and melt together, over low heat, for about 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
