The Elephant in the Corner....

Have you ever made a dump cake?  A cake where you just dump the ingredients in and hope for the best?  Once upon a time I had a favorite!  It was peach pie filling, pineapple, a yellow cake mix and a stick of butter.  Now… that dang pineapple gets me – allergic… Gah!
Enter Chocolate Pudding Dump Cake.  Thank heavens chocolate remains one thing I am NOT allergic to (ignore the lactose intolerant elephant in the corner).  This cake was easy to throw together and tasted yummy.  Chances are you have all of these ingredients in your house and can whip this up in no time.
This was even good two days later after it had sat in the car while we were in church.  It was warmed through, the chocolate chips gooey and perfect with ice cream on top.  Mmm ice cream makes everything better… (will someone tell that elephant to hush?)

Chocolate Pudding Dump Cake
What You Need!
1 chocolate boxed cake mix
1 small package chocolate pudding
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups (large handful) chocolate chips

Make it!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare the pudding with the milk according to package directions. Add the cake mix (just the dry mix–don’t add anything else) and stir well to combine (batter will be thick).
Smooth batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Scatter chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until edges pull away from sides.
