Nashville 2013 Recap

Has it already been over a month since Nashville?  Wow – it sure has!  Amazing how time flies!
This year’s Nashville was a bit different for us; we decided to bring Bronwyn with.  This meant renting a minivan, packing a bed for her, her jumpy, toys, food, all sorts of things.  THEN we could pack all the Myrtle gear!  We thought for sure our ride down there would be long and drawn out, but we only stopped once.  Amazing?  Oh we know we are blessed – for sure.  Our girlie slept or watched the world go by.  She’s a great traveler.
We arrived Thursday early evening and even got some things setup.  Friday we really got down to business.  Got all the displays ready and figured out our game plan.  It worked really well to have a day to slowly get our act together.
Friday night – 5PM sharp the doors opened for “Make It! Take It! Sell It!”  This was my first attendance at this TNNA event.  It was great to see so many familiar faces and new faces!  I showed many people the wonders of punch needle.  Had quite a few quick learners!  At 7PM I raced back up to the room since we had open hours Friday night.  It was great again to see our friends and reconnect.  Bronwyn sat mouth agape at all the people wandering through.
Saturday and Sunday were open exhibit days.  Sometimes slow, sometimes busy.  Saturday Andy and I both registered for “Be the Match” - a donor registry operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). http://marrow.org
Sunday 4 PM – we broke everything down – tossed it in the van and headed home.  We figured that was our best chance of getting Bronwyn to sleep the entire way.  She did great.  Got home around 1 AM, unloaded and to bed by 2 AM…. That stinker was awake at 5 AM.  Oh well.  At least we made it home in one piece.
Next Year?  We may have to leave her home – she’ll be even more mobile and have long arms that can touch everything.  Sure was fun to introduce her to everyone.  Looking forward to Nashville 2014!
