Cinnamon Crinkles
These cookies are an old favorite. 13 short years ago I would make a bucket of these cookies for each of my co-workers…. That was when I had 6 co-workers. Now? 44 co-workers… they might get a full tray to share, no more bucket o’ cookies for each person. They stay soft and chewy – so addicting.
Cinnamon Crinkles
What you need!
2 2/3 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons sugar
halved pecans or walnuts -- optional
Make it!
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt -- set aside.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time; beat well after adding each.
Add dry ingredients. Refrigerate 1 hour. 4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Press half a nut into center -- sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes
