Pizza - The Shaved Story

‘Tis the season for asparagus. Spring. Oh you know – that season between winter and summer… although we had a bit of summer when we had this pizza. This pizza is easy. It looks fancy – it’s not. The trick is shaving the asparagus. Chop the fancy top of the stalk into thin slices, then use a veggie peeler and make long strips of asparagus. Sure looks fancy – but it’s easy.

Shaved Asparagus Pizza
What you need!
1 Boboli Wheat Thin Pizza Crust
1 cup Alfredo sauce
1 cup sliced mushrooms
7 green onions – chopped
8 stalks fresh asparagus
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz fresh mozzarella

Make it!
Heat oven to 450 degrees. Place crust on a pizza stone or a pizza pan. Spread alfrado sauce around crust. Use half of mozzarella cheese and even spread over sauce. Spread mushrooms and green onions.
Toss shaved asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper. Place on top of pizza. Use remaining cheese on top of pizza. Bake for 25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and brown. Slice and serve.

  2. The green onions aren't too strong, but you can leave them out if you aren't too sure. :)
